The police exposed a network of Kyiv pharmacies where Russian medicines were sold

Law enforcement officers announced the discovery of a chain of Kyiv pharmacies that sold more than 20 names of Russian drugs. About this reported press service of the National Police.
“The illegal import into Ukraine and the sale of more than 20 items of Russian medicines were organized by two citizens of Azerbaijan. They sold everything that was in demand – antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, immunomodulators, stimulants of mental performance, etc.” – the message says.
According to the investigation, the medicines were delivered from Russia to Moldova by regular buses, after which they were personally transported to Ukraine, hiding from customs control. Preliminary calculations showed that those involved in the case paid Russian pharmacies at least 1.5 million hryvnias for the goods received.
The investigators collected the necessary evidence and reported the suspicion to two organizers – owners of the chain of pharmacies, as well as two pharmacists. They are accused of carrying out economic activities in cooperation with the aggressor state, committed as part of an organized group (Part 3 of Article 28, Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides up to five years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
