The Prosecutor General was summoned to the Council because of an investigation into the property of his deputy Verbytskyi

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine summoned the Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin for explanations regarding the property status of his deputy Dmytro Verbytskyi.

About this wrote people’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.

As promised, my proposal passed the vote. We are waiting for the Prosecutor General’s explanation of how his employees successfully acquire property while taking care of the economy!“, the message says.

According to the report, 216 people’s elected representatives voted “for” the challenge. The Prosecutor General is scheduled to be heard on June 19 at 12 o’clock.

Also People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote that last month he sent a request to the NABU and NAKC with a request to conduct an inspection of Dmytro Verbytskyi.

Then I received a reply that NABU would give a legal assessment of the actions of the Deputy Prosecutor General. There are no details yet. But the further it goes, the more reasons for inspections appear. So it is very appropriate to listen to Kostin and ask the question, what actions will be taken by the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding Verbytskyi“, the deputy informs.

National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine started criminal proceedings regarding the possible illegal enrichment of Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytskyi.  Detectives registered criminal proceedings on May 13, a week after the release of the first “Scheme” material, in which the purchase of a Verbytskyi townhouse in the cottage town of “Kony” in Kyiv was considered at a significantly reduced price due to a power of attorney from an Odessa businessman.

The second investigation of “Scheme” also stated that Verbytskyi’s girlfriend, Khrystyna Ilnytska, became the owner of a new Porsche and a 3-story cottage in the same “Konik”, the total value of which is at least 52 million hryvnias, with a total income over the last decade of a little more than 360 thousand hryvnias.
