The Russian army began using FPV drones with solar batteries

At the front, Russian forces began using FPV drones equipped with solar panels. About this reported specialist in the field of radio technologies Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov.

He posted pictures of a kamikaze drone in which the solar panel is attached to the frame and consists of two parts that fold out. According to Flash, this is not the first time such drones with solar cells have appeared on the battlefield. As the expert explained, the battery is not capable of powering the drone during flight, but allows the FPV operator to work from cover, waiting for the right moment to attack.

We will remind, on June 30, the Armed Forces recorded the first combat use of the new Russian “Chernyk” kamikaze drones during the attack on Kharkiv. These drones are characterized by mass and ease of use, and their latest version is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 100 kilometers.

The new drone is equipped with a combat unit similar to the one used in the “Molniya” drones, which Russian troops often use to attack populated areas. At the same time, “Chernyka” is characterized by an improved and aerodynamically streamlined body.

In addition, on June 27, the Main Directorate of Intelligence made public data on the technical equipment of the new Iranian “Shaheed”, shot down in Sumy Oblast. The drone was equipped with a guidance system with artificial intelligence and had an American computer in its configuration.
