JSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” announced a tender through the Prozorro platform for the search of a recruiting agency that will be engaged in the selection of candidates for the position of the new chairman of the company’s board. The expected cost of the agency’s services is UAH 4.5 million, and the auction is scheduled for December 31, 2024.
We will remind that at the beginning of December, Oleksiy Chernyshov left the position of chairman of the board of “Naftogaz” and joined the Cabinet of Ministers, taking the position of deputy prime minister, minister of unity of Ukraine. Chernyshov headed Naftogaz in the fall of 2022, replacing Yuri Vitrenka in this position.
Among his key tasks was to lead the company out of default, which was announced on July 26, 2022 due to non-payment of Eurobonds. Thanks to Chernyshov’s efforts, the company successfully completed the debt restructuring process in September 2023.
In addition, Chernyshov repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine managed to pass the heating season of 2022-2023, using gas of its own production. Roman Chumak is currently the chairman of the board of Naftogaz.
“Naftogaz of Ukraine” is a strategically important enterprise for the energy industry of the country, it includes the largest gas production company JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya” and the operator of main oil pipelines JSC “Ukrtransnafta”.
