The State Customs Service has started using artificial intelligence in the work of its services. One of these innovations was the update of the section “Importing a passenger car”, informs press service of the department.
Now the customs declaration has become even easier and faster thanks to two important updates:
- Recognition of vehicle characteristics by VIN code. It is enough to enter the VIN and the system will automatically find the technical data of the vehicle.
- Automatic filling of part of the declaration column based on the photo of the technical passport. It is enough to upload an image of the document, and the artificial intelligence will read all the possible characteristics of the car contained in the technical license, and the system will offer the rest of the data based on the VIN.
“We continue to simplify bureaucratic procedures, making customs clearance convenient, fast and technological. Digitalization is not just a trend, but real steps to reduce the time and effort of citizens when going through customs formalities.” – noted in the State Customs Service.
