The State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion of illegal enrichment to the former head of one of the departments of the logistics forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations in cooperation with NAKC reported about the suspicion of the former head of one of the central departments of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in illegal enrichment in the amount of more than 12 million hryvnias.

As the investigation established, during 2023-2024, the former official acquired assets, the legal origin of which he could not confirm. Among them are 14 plots of land in the Kyiv region, an apartment, several cars (TOYOTA TUNDRA, SKODA OCTAVIA, HYUNDAI TUCSON), as well as domestic state loan bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, which were issued both to himself and to close relatives.

During the search of the suspect’s place of residence, the law enforcement officers also found weapons and ammunition that he kept without a permit.

The former official was charged under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal enrichment) and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). Sanctions include imprisonment for up to 10 years.

Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure is being resolved. Procedural management in the case is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
