On July 21, the Security Department of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine announced its intention to conclude a contract with Diamant Service Center LLC for the purchase of passenger cars in the amount of 17.98 million hryvnias (3 million hryvnias per car). Information made public on the “Prozorro” portal.
According to the terms of the future contract, it is planned to supply six specialized cars based on the black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2025 SUV by October 15, the cost of each of which is UAH 3 million.
The cars have four-wheel drive, a 2.4-liter 282 hp Euro 6 gasoline engine, an automatic transmission, front and side airbags for the driver and passenger, as well as a driver’s knee airbag and front and rear curtain airbags.
Additional equipment includes a metal engine guard, tinted glass, a set of winter tires, floor mats, a technical assistance kit, on-board tools and a jack. In addition, a radio station with an antenna provided by the customer will be installed on each car. The warranty is three years or 90,000 km. The specified characteristics correspond to the Land Cruiser Prado Premium configuration, which currently costs about UAH 2.81 million in showrooms, excluding additional equipment and special equipment.
The only competitor of “Diamant” in the tender was “Avtosamit Ukravto” LLC, which also offered the same cars, but at a higher price. The company “Diamant Service Center”, registered in Lviv, belongs to Pavel Volkov and is an official Toyota dealer.
The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (State Special Communications) is a specialized body of the executive power that is responsible for the field of information protection and special communications and is part of the national security and defense sector.
