In 2025, Ukrainian enterprises intend to produce about 3,000 cruise missiles and drone missiles, as well as at least 30,000 long-range drones. About this stated Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting.
“Within the framework of the “Weapons of Victory” project, we will launch long-term contracts with manufacturers for 3-5 years. We will pay special attention to the long-range component and the missile program. The task of the President of Ukraine is to produce at least 30,000 long-range drones. Ukrainian enterprises also plan to produce about 3,000 cruise missiles and drone missiles”, – noted Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the plans of the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine include the increase of production capacities to 30 billion dollars. One of the key directions will be the implementation of the “Danish model”, which provides for the purchase of weapons by foreign partners from Ukrainian manufacturers for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2025, more than $1 billion is expected to be raised in this initiative.
In the field of security, Shmyhal emphasized the development of a network of shelters based on the Finnish model. This public-private initiative involves the creation of a large number of reliable shelters that can perform various functions in peacetime.
