The State Statistics Service has presented for discussion a project on the termination of the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine (EDRPOU).
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine submitted a project for public discussion, which provides for the termination of the operation of the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations. About this informs press service of the State Statistics Service.
Instead of the current register, it is planned to introduce a single digital system of identification of economic entities, in accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The transition to the new system should be gradual, with an emphasis on transparency and ease of use.
“The adoption of the draft act eliminates discrepancies between the norms of current legislation and normative legal acts, which will provide enterprises and organizations with a greater understanding of their state registration and identification issues.” – says the message.
The service emphasizes that the implementation of uniform rules will not affect the interests of business entities, but instead will ensure uniform requirements for registration processes. The explanatory document states that the innovations will contribute to updating the system of official statistics and will be part of a large-scale reform of digital public administration in the context of Ukraine’s European integration course. Public discussion of the project will continue until May 25, 2025.
We will remind that in 2019 the Ministry of Justice issued an order that provided for the full opening of the EDRPOU. This gave Ukrainians the opportunity to monitor a number of new parameters, including the registration number of the FOP, information about signatories and the presence of branches.
