The Armed Forces of Ukraine will implement weapons life cycle management based on the experience of the United States

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will improve the life cycle management system of weapons and military equipment, using the practices of the United States and other NATO countries. About this stated Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov.

“The acquired knowledge will help our specialists to improve the Ukrainian system of managing the life cycle of weapons in accordance with the requirements of the Alliance standards”, Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized.

The course, organized by specialists of the Canadian government project PROTECT2, allowed Ukrainian specialists to deepen their knowledge in the areas of defense planning, program management, defense procurement and life cycle management of weapons and military equipment.

“The classes were built on the experience of the armies of NATO countries, in particular the USA, Canada, France, Poland, Bulgaria and others. This is important for the Ministry of Defense, because the acquired knowledge will help our specialists to improve the Ukrainian system of managing the life cycle of weapons in accordance with the requirements of the Alliance standards”Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized.

After completing the training, the specialists of the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense received appropriate certificates.
