In the first quarter of 2025, the largest taxpayers to the state budget of Ukraine were enterprises in the field of trade and processing industry, which accounted for 17.2% and 17% of total revenues, respectively. About this reported press service of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
Among other leading industries in terms of tax payment volumes were:
- financial and insurance activities — 11.7%;
- public administration, defense and mandatory social insurance — 11.2%.
Compared to the same period of 2024, in January-March 2025, a significant increase in tax revenues was recorded in the following sectors:
- processing industry — growth by 47% (+ UAH 27.3 billion);
- wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles — by 29.7% (+ UAH 19.8 billion);
- public administration, defense and social insurance — by 31% (+ UAH 13.3 billion);
- professional, scientific and technical activities — by 54.2% (+ UAH 8 billion).
We will remind that in the first three months of 2025, taxpayers transferred UAH 115.6 billion to local budgets, which is 18.2% more than in the first quarter of 2024. Revenues from excise tax in this period exceeded the planned indicator by 31%.
In January-March, the state budget also received 34.1 billion hryvnias of military levies, which is 3.7 times more than in the same period of the previous year.
