Applications are scheduled to open on February 4, 2025, and the deadline for submitting documents depends on the expiration date of the current visa, but must be no later than 28 days before its expiration.

- During the eight weeks of processing the application, the applicant is prohibited from leaving the territory of Great Britain. At the same time, all rights and legal status are preserved, including access to social security and other privileges.
- The government guarantees the preservation of all social services and rights for applicants during the period of consideration of their applications.

New visa extension conditions not only allow Ukrainians to stay in the country, but also contribute to their integration. Along with visa extensions, refugees can continue to work, receive education and benefit from a full range of social services. This creates conditions for the stability and development of Ukrainian citizens in Great Britain.
At the same time, it is important to remember that the time spent under temporary sponsorship programs does not count towards the 10-year period required to obtain the right to permanent residence. This aspect should be taken into account when planning your long-term stay in Great Britain.
