The UK will provide Ukraine with a £4.5 billion aid package

Britain will provide Ukraine with the largest aid package in the amount of 4.5 billion pounds ($5.69 billion). In addition, London will introduce a new package of sanctions against Russia. About this reported British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at a meeting of world leaders in Kyiv.

“So we have to strengthen Ukraine even more to ensure lasting peace, not just a pause in this war. And we can do that. We will increase military aid to Ukraine, and the UK is doing that. We are giving £4.5 billion in military aid. More than ever. We are doing everything we can to train Ukrainian troops. We are very proud of the leadership of the contact groups in Ukraine.” Starmer said.

According to him, Kyiv’s partners now have a chance to lay the foundation for lasting peace. He emphasized that Ukraine must participate in the negotiation process.

“And we have to build sovereignty for Ukraine and strong security guarantees. Great Britain is ready to support this with its troops in Ukraine with Europeans and with the right conditions.” – stressed the British Prime Minister.
