The United States launched large-scale airstrikes on Yemen

US aircraft carried out massive strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, in particular in the capital Sanaa and other regions of the country. About this informs Central Command of the United States Armed Forces (CENTCOM).
American aircraft attacked facilities throughout the territory of Yemen under the control of the Houthis, in particular in the areas of the capital Sana. The intensity of the strikes this time exceeded the level of the previous days of the campaign, which has been ongoing since March 15.
In addition to the capital, the provinces of Al-Jawf and Saada were also shelled. As a result of the attack in Saada, one person was killed and four others were injured. According to the SABA agency, the deceased was a civilian. The full picture of the destruction and the number of possible victims is currently unknown.
Houthi fighters and their allies usually do not wear military uniforms. Analysts believe that the insurgents may be understating the death toll because the strikes have mostly targeted military and intelligence facilities under their control. Many of the strikes have not been officially confirmed by either the Houthis or the US military, while the rebels restrict access to attack sites.
It will be recalled that the past two weeks have been marked by an escalation of the conflict between the US armed forces and the Houthi group in Yemen. On March 15, the American military carried out large-scale attacks on rebel positions. Washington seeks in this way to ensure the safety of commercial shipping in the Strait of Aden and to influence Iran’s position on the conclusion of a new nuclear agreement.
