The United States sent additional military units to the border with Mexico

An additional 1,500 US troops have been deployed to the southern US border with Mexico following President Donald Trump’s order to strengthen border security. About this informs BBC News.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said Trump’s priority is to deport illegal immigrants and prevent them from entering the country.
“You will be returned home, you will be arrested, you will be prosecuted. Don’t come.” Leavitt said.
About 2,200 military personnel are already stationed at the border, and another 1,500 will join them. It is not yet known which units are participating in the mission. The military performs mostly logistical and administrative functions such as data entry, situational monitoring, and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
In addition, about 4,500 National Guardsmen are present at the border and are also participating in the mission. According to anonymous sources, the US Transportation Command has been tasked with preparing military equipment, including aircraft, to deport the migrants.
It will be recalled that Donald Trump previously signed a decree that prohibits the entry of illegal migrants through the southern border of the United States and provides for their immediate deportation. In addition, the decree limits the ability of undocumented migrants to apply for asylum, which was allowed under previous immigration laws.
