The university under the leadership of ex-minister Mylovanov bought a golf club for 750 million hryvnias

The private higher educational institution “Kyiv School of Economics” (KSE) in partnership with international donors and organizations purchased a complex of golf club buildings on the Obolonskaya embankment in the capital for UAH 750 million. The president of KSE is the former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov. About this reported KSE press office.

The institution notes that it is planned to create a university campus on the basis of the purchased object, where specialists in the fields of mathematics, engineering and high technologies will study. At the first stage, the premises of the complex will be converted into classrooms and research laboratories. In addition, there are spaces for summer educational programs, international forums and joint research initiatives with business representatives.

KSE emphasizes that the creation of this campus is the largest private investment in Ukrainian education during the entire period of independence. The total budget of the project is estimated at $40 million, of which $18 million is intended for the purchase of the facility, and the rest will be invested in the conversion of buildings, the creation of laboratories and the expansion of scholarship programs. However, KSE plans to preserve the golf course, making it available to the general public.

“We are not abandoning the past activities of the golf club, we will support this sport. We will not be fenced off, and we will open this part of the park to all residents.” – emphasized Tymofiy Mylovanov.

We will remind that Tymofiy Mylovanov is the president of KSE, former Minister of Economy and ex-adviser of the President’s Office. He is also a member of the supervisory boards of state-owned companies “Ukroboronprom” and “Energoatom”.
