The US Army hit Houthi targets in Yemen on a large scale

American troops have carried out more than ten airstrikes on the capital of Yemen, the city of Sanaa, which is under the control of the Houthi group. About this informs The Times of Israel.

Despite the lack of official confirmation of the strikes, the US Army released photos and videos from the aircraft carrier and preparations for operations against the Yemeni rebels, accompanying the publication with the caption “24…7….”.

At the same time, media controlled by the Houthis announced more than ten airstrikes carried out on April 16 against the capital controlled by this group. Responsibility for the attacks was placed on the United States.

“Fourteen airstrikes, carried out as a result of American aggression, hit the Al-Khafa district in the As-Sabin district of the capital”, Al-Masirah TV channel, linked to the Houthis, reported.

There were also reports of strikes in the Hazm district of Jawf province.

It will be recalled that the Houthis are an Islamist armed group that positions itself as part of the “axis of resistance” against Israel, the United States and Western countries led by Iran. Currently, they control a large part of the northern and western territories of Yemen.

Starting in the fall of 2023, the militants have been carrying out drone and missile attacks on civilian commercial vessels in the Strait of Aden and Red Sea areas, thus expressing support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

On March 15, the United States launched strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. According to Washington, the operation aims to stop attacks by Houthi forces on international shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
