The Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation fell under new British sanctions

On February 14, Great Britain introduced new sanctions against several Russian citizens and companies, including the Russian Deputy Defense Minister Pavlo Fradkov. About this it is said in the document of the Office for the Implementation of Sanctions at the British Ministry of Finance

In addition to Pavel Fradkov, the son of the former Prosecutor General of Russia Yuriy Chaika, businessman Artem Chaika, as well as the director of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of the Russian Federation, Volodymyr Selin, are included in the sanctions list.

The restrictions also extended to two structures of the Russian Rosatom – the Kirov-Energomash plant in St. Petersburg and the Rosatom Additive Technologies company. As noted in the document, these individuals and organizations were sanctioned for receiving benefits or supporting the government of the Russian Federation, while continuing to operate in strategically important sectors for the Russian government.

Sanctions include the freezing of assets in the British jurisdiction, a ban on financial transactions with sanctioned persons and companies without special permission, as well as restrictions on the provision of trust services.
