US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced the beginning of the evacuation of American citizens from the territory of Israel. That’s what he’s about reported in the X social network.
The organization of special evacuation flights with the help of sea cruise liners is planned for the removal of US citizens, since air traffic over Israel is currently not functioning.
“US citizens wishing to leave Israel – the US Embassy in Israel is working on evacuation flights and cruise ship departures. You must register with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)”, the ambassador said.
A day earlier, the US embassy announced a temporary suspension of its activities until at least June 20, citing a threat to the safety of employees. At the same time, the diplomatic institution noted that they do not plan and do not have the opportunity to organize the evacuation of American citizens from the country.
It will be recalled that on June 16, the US State Department raised the level of threat to Israel, the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Gaza Strip to the fourth, highest level, urging US citizens to refrain from traveling to these regions. On June 17, US President Donald Trump said that he demands unconditional surrender from Iran, and hinted at the possibility of eliminating the country’s supreme leader.
