Drones attacked refineries in the Samara region

On the night of March 10, the Novokuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara region, which is one of the ten largest refineries in Russia, was attacked. About this informs Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Combating Disinformation at the NSDC.

“The Novokuibyshev oil refinery was attacked. Its capacity reaches 8.8 million tons of oil per year, which makes it one of the ten largest in the Russian Federation. The plant produces a wide range of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel and fuel oil, which are critically important for transport and military equipment.”, says the message.

Kovalenko noted that this refinery is of strategic importance for the Russian army, as it ensures a stable supply of fuel for military operations.

The authorities of the Samara region confirmed the fact of the attack, but stated that it was “unsuccessful”. According to them, three drones were destroyed, “there were no fires, no damage, everything is normal.” However, later there was a report about a fire at a warehouse in Novokuibyshevsk, Samara region, the area of ​​which was 1,500 square meters.
