The US State Department has reduced the level of danger for travel to some regions of Ukraine
US Department of State lowered level of danger for trips to nine regions of Ukraine, and established the third level of risk instead of the fourth. This change means that Americans can visit these regions, but must exercise extra caution and be prepared to leave the country quickly if the situation worsens. This reduction in the level of risk indicates relative stability in the western regions, which was achieved due to the effective operation of air defense systems and geographical distance from active combat zones.
As noted Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova, this decision concerns the Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Zhytomyr regions. This will greatly facilitate visits to Ukraine by business representatives, organizations and institutions.
“Good news for Ukrainian-American business, on which the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA has been working hard with all business associations, from the State Department, which has literally just updated the recommendations for travel to Ukraine“- wrote Markarova.
Reducing the level of danger of traveling to a number of Ukrainian regions is a step towards strengthening further cooperation, the Ambassador believes. In addition to increasing military aid and expanding air defense systems, Kyiv emphasizes the importance of regional partnerships to accelerate victory, attract investment and increase business activity.
The recent lifting of restrictions prohibiting American defense contractors from working on the territory of Ukraine has also opened up new prospects for entrepreneurial activity, including the creation of innovative business projects in Ukraine.
