The Verkhovna Rada has created a TSK that will deal with issues of violations by the CCC

The Verkhovna Rada has established a Temporary Investigative Commission (TCC) to investigate possible violations of legislation in the field of state defense. In particular, it will deal with issues related to the activities of territorial recruitment and social support centers. About this reported Oleksandr Bakumov, head of TSK.

The deputy emphasized that parliamentary bodies should perform a control function, but they cannot replace law enforcement bodies, they are not a body of pre-trial investigation or a court.

“The investigative commission has classic powers: studying specific facts of violations by the TCC, inviting people for explanations, appointing experts. And all these materials, based on the results of their collection, can be sent to law enforcement agencies for decision-making in accordance with their competences. Against the background of all these collected facts, conclusions can be reached, which are voted on first in the investigative commission, and then in the Verkhovna Rada in the form of a resolution. And this is already a political consequence.” Bakumov noted.

Commenting on the possible political consequences, he explained that based on the results of the commission’s work, the report may include recommendations on the transfer of materials to law enforcement agencies.

“And the law enforcement agencies must take measures: enter information into the EYDR, start criminal proceedings, take facts and testimonies established at the meetings of the investigative commission, attach them to the materials of the criminal proceedings. The Cabinet of Ministers can adopt acts (and react in this way), bring to disciplinary responsibility, impose fines.” – concluded the People’s Deputy.
