Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy, People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People party, Denys Maslov reported, that a bill has been registered in the parliament, which provides for an increase in the official salary of judges of local courts to 90 thousand hryvnias.

“Together with my colleagues, I submitted an alternative initiative to draft law 13467. We propose to raise the basic salary of a local court judge from 18.2 to 26, which in conversion will amount to 90,220 hryvnias. In the coming days, the text will appear on the website of the Verkhovna Rada. Registration of the alternative draft law will also give the Committee the opportunity to work out a committee version, if necessary.” he emphasized.

According to Maslov, other options will be considered during the development of the document: “Within the scope of the development, we will also consider other options – from establishing the official salary of a judge in a fixed monetary amount directly in the law on the judicial system to establishing additional payments to official salaries, including for work in areas of hostilities, etc.”

We will remind you that the government has announced a reduction in public spending.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko stated during her speech in the Verkhovna Rada on July 17:

“We have already started work on the optimization of the state apparatus and are taking a course for a full audit of expenses with the aim of reducing them. No political loyalty, numbers and results are important.”
