The Verkhovna Rada supported the acceleration of the construction of mobile communication stations

The Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 9549 aimed at speeding up the construction of mobile communication base stations. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
According to the document, mobile operators will be able to lease land for network development twice as fast. If earlier the procedure took about six months, now it will be reduced to three. This will make it possible to provide stable mobile communication in remote areas and expand 4G coverage along highways. Also, the draft law will allow faster restoration of communication in the de-occupied territories.
“Due to damage, many mobile communication stations are unusable, so operators need sites to build new ones. Thanks to the new law, operators will be able to place temporary communication structures without the risk of their dismantling, build new base stations faster and return communication and Internet to Ukrainians.”, — notes the Ministry of Statistics.
The Ministry emphasizes that among the key goals by 2030 is to provide 98% of the population with high-quality mobile communication in all regions of the country. Currently, the draft law is awaiting the signature of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
We will remind that in December 2024, a number of operators of Ukraine raised prices for mobile communication tariffs. “Kyivstar” announced a 25% tariff increase from December 20, Vodafone will also increase the cost of two package plans from December 24. At the same time, lifecell offers new subscribers the opportunity to fix the current price for the entire year 2025.
