Three countries fear sending military instructors to Ukraine: mass media

Germany, Italy and Spain oppose the idea of sending their military instructors to Ukraine, fearing the escalation of the conflict and the direct involvement of the West in the war with Russia.

About this informs the German publication Welt, citing European diplomats.

According to the publication, the German government ignored a letter of invitation from France to join the coalition of countries that are ready to send their instructors to Ukraine. In Berlin, they claim that they did not receive such a letter.

Despite the fact that military experts recognize the advantages of training the Ukrainian military on their territory, most EU countries, including Germany, Italy and Spain, consider such a move too risky.

Earlier, the media reported on French President Emmanuel Macron’s plans to announce the creation of a coalition of countries to send military instructors to Ukraine.

We will remind that recently the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine concluded an agreement with the French company Thales Group regarding the acquisition of the second air defense system ControlMaster 200 (CM200).
