To establish peace in Ukraine, it is necessary to deploy a peacekeeping contingent of 100 thousand soldiers: Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi statedthat in order to establish peace in Ukraine, it is necessary to deploy a peacekeeping contingent of 100,000 soldiers.

The President said that during the phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, they discussed, in particular, the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine.

“And what are security guarantees? NATO? Strong weapons, missiles, nuclear weapons? Some kind of deterrent package. Or we will build, as I said, NATO in Ukraine. Then realistically – weapons from you, a contingent from Europeans and Americans. And the contingent is not 5-7 thousand, as they once said about it.” – noted Zelensky.

He also announced that he instructed the Ukrainian military to determine the necessary number of contingents to guarantee peace:

“I gave our military a task: count, please, and show me the points. We drew a map. We have everything ready, and I can talk about it in Munich, not very openly, but 100,000 people are needed there.”
