Trump said he plans to continue supporting Ukraine

US President Donald Trump announced his intention to continue supporting Ukraine, at the same time stressing that stopping the bloodshed remains his top priority. This statement was done him in the White House during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz.
The American leader answered journalists’ questions about further assistance to Ukraine.
“Yes, I’m with Ukraine. We just signed a big rare earth deal with Ukraine. And we want it. You know, I’m for an end to the killing. That’s what I really want.” Trump said.
He once again noted that Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine should not have started at all. During the conversation, Trump voiced his vision of the costs that the US and Europe allegedly incurred in connection with aid to Ukraine. In particular, he reported that the United States spent 350 billion dollars, and European countries – more than 100 billion. At the same time, according to the president, “it’s not even about money.”
“Money is a small part, but not the main thing. The main thing is death, destruction. You have lost a whole culture.” he added.
Trump also expressed regret about the destroyed cultural heritage of Ukraine. In particular, he mentioned “the most beautiful turrets in the world”, which, according to him, “are all blown to pieces.” Presumably, he meant the domes of churches.
“They robbed the country of its culture. They robbed the country of its heritage. It’s terrible. But the most important thing, again, is death. Over five thousand people a week.” – concluded the US president.
