Trump said he would provide Ukraine with Patriot

US President Donald Trump announced his intention to transfer Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, sharply criticizing Vladimir Putin. About this informs Reuters.

During a speech at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, Trump emphasized that these weapons are crucial for the defense of Ukraine in the face of constant attacks from Russia.

“We’re going to send them Patriots, which they really need, because Putin has really surprised a lot of people. He speaks well, and at night he bombs everyone. But there’s a little problem here. I don’t like it.” – he emphasized.

The American president did not specify the number of missiles that will be transferred to Ukraine, but noted that the European Union will compensate for the costs of the supply.

“We’re basically going to send them all kinds of very sophisticated military equipment. They’re going to pay us 100% for it, and that’s what we want.” Trump concluded.

It will be recalled that at the press conference after the NATO summit in The Hague, Donald Trump added that he would check the possibility of providing Ukraine with additional Patriot air defense systems, noting that these complexes are also necessary for America itself. This is the answer he gave to the question of a Ukrainian journalist who reported that her husband was fighting at the front – the US president expressed his condolences to her.
