US President Donald Trump threatens the introduction of large-scale sanctions against Russia. Trump’s team is also discussing the application of tariffs on Russian goods.
“Based on the fact that Russia is now simply “thrashing” Ukraine on the battlefield, I am strongly considering the possibility of imposing large-scale banking sanctions, sanctions and tariffs on Russia until there is a ceasefire and a final peace agreement is reached.”, – said the US president.
He also called on Ukraine and Russia to sit down at the negotiating table immediately, before “it is too late.” Such a sharp reaction of Trump is associated with increased Russian shelling against the background of attempts by the United States to initiate peace talks.
