Tusk accused Russian special services of arson at shopping center in Warsaw

The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, accused the Russian special services of organizing the fire that happened last year in the Warsaw shopping center “Marivilska”. About this it is said in the official statement of the head of the Polish government.

A fire broke out in the “Marivilska” shopping center on May 12, 2024 in the capital of Poland. About 150 rescuers, more than 50 pieces of equipment and even a special robot were involved in its elimination. Even then, firefighters reported that the fire probably broke out in several places at the same time. Due to the rapid spread of the flames, part of the roof of the shopping complex collapsed.

“Currently, it is known for certain that the big fire in the “Maryvilska” shopping center in Warsaw was caused by arson ordered by the Russian special services. – emphasized Tusk.

According to him, some of the persons involved in the crime have already been detained.

“All others have been identified and are wanted. We will find you all!”, – emphasized the head of the government.

We will remind that at the beginning of the spring of 2025, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Lithuania referred to the court the criminal proceedings regarding the arson of the IKEA shopping center in Vilnius, which took place on May 9, 2024. The investigators found out that the sabotage was carried out by two citizens of Ukraine on the instructions of Russian military structures and special services.
