The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting regarding Iran’s attack on Israel

On April 14, an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council is scheduled to be held in response to Iran’s unprecedented missile and drone attack on Israel. This is reported by Le Monde.

Malta’s diplomatic mission, which currently chairs the UN Security Council, has announced plans to convene a meeting on April 14 at 4 p.m.

Gilad Erdan, Israel’s former UN ambassador, appealed to the UN Security Council to convene an urgent meeting to condemn Iran’s attack. He called on the Security Council to take decisive action against Iran, emphasizing the need for concrete measures and the recognition of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.

“I sent an urgent letter to Security Council President Vanessa Frazier. I called on the Council to hold an emergency meeting and demanded that they condemn Iran’s attack on Israel and designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. Iran’s attack represents a serious threat to global peace and security, and I expect that the Council will use all means to take specific measures against Iran,” Gilad Erdan wrote on the X social network.
