UAH 378 million for “Okhmatdyt”: the charitable foundation refuses to transfer the collected funds to the hospital
The administration of "Okhmatdyt" declares that the fund ignores the hospital's requests for the transfer of funds for holding a tender and starting restoration works.
The management of “Okhmatdyt” states that the charitable foundation does not respond to their requests regarding the transfer of funds collected for restoration, which delays the process of organizing the tender and starting the works.
“The fund’s decision was a real shock for us. “Okhmatdit” has always been associated with responsibility, professionalism and hope. None of the institutions with this name can fail Ukrainian society. Unfortunately, the members of the fund, which does not include representatives of NDSL, decided to act differently,” – stated Volodymyr Zhovnir, general director of the State National Insurance Company.
According to the information posted on the website of the “Okhmatdit – Healthy Childhood” charitable foundation, its members include Yosyp Siladi, a pediatrician at the Center for Orphan Diseases and Gene Therapy of the Okhmatdit National Health Service, and Nataliya Samonenko, a pediatrician and geneticist, who heads this center.
At the same time, the hospital’s statement states that due to the urgent need to restore and fulfill obligations, the “Okhmatdyt” hospital sent an official demand letter to the charity fund on behalf of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
In addition, the management of “Okhmatdyt” is considering the possibility of terminating cooperation with the fund due to suspicions of bad faith and possible fraudulent actions.
What is known about the “Okhmatdit – Healthy Childhood” charity fund
The “Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood” Foundation was established in Kyiv in 2022 on the initiative of medical workers of the “Okhmatdyt” NDSL, famous people and volunteers. According to the information on the official website, the head of the fund is Yevhen Vember, and the chief accountant and economist of the fund and the Okhmatdit National Insurance Company is Svitlana Rozborska.
It is interesting that the supervisory board of the fund includes Ukrainian TV presenters Yurii Horbunov and Solomiya Vitvitska.
