Ukraine agrees to transfer $500 billion worth of rare earth minerals to the United States: Trump
Ukraine is ready to hand over 500 billion dollars worth of rare earth minerals to the US as compensation for military aid. This was stated by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, informs Fox News.
Trump said that he sees this as payment for the support that Washington has given to Kyiv, and stressed that the United States should have access to Ukraine’s natural resources regardless of the outcome of peace talks with Russia.
“They have extremely valuable resources – land, oil, gas, etc. I want our money to be protected, because we are spending hundreds of billions of dollars to help Ukraine. They can make a peace agreement, they can not make it; they can remain independent, or they can become part of Russia.
But our funds must be secured. I told them I wanted the equivalent of $500 billion in rare earth minerals. And they actually agreed to it so we wouldn’t look stupid. Otherwise, we are just stupid. We can’t keep spending this money without getting anything in return.”, – emphasized the US president.
