Ukraine has defined its vision of the text of the agreement with the United States on minerals
The Ukrainian side has already formed its own vision regarding the text of the future agreement on the subsoil and emphasized that its compliance with Ukraine’s course for joining the EU is fundamental. About this stated Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga.
“We have already developed our position, as well as our vision regarding the text of the future agreement”, the message says.
Andrii Sybiga noted that Kyiv is currently forming a delegation that will go to the United States for a detailed discussion of the document proposed by the American side. He emphasized that this agreement should be mutually beneficial, take into account the interests of both parties and not contradict Ukraine’s strategic course towards European integration.
“This is one of the fundamental positions for the Ukrainian side,” – emphasized the minister.
According to him, the process of identifying one of the leading law firms that will accompany the negotiation process is ongoing.
We will remind that on April 6, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko announced that Ukraine is forming a negotiating team to work on the “subsoil agreement”, and the delegation’s visit to Washington is scheduled for this week.
