Ukraine has harvested over 15 million tons of new grain

As of August 1, farmers in Ukraine threshed more than 15 million tons of new harvest on 39% of the areas sown with grain and leguminous crops. For this informs Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.

“As of August 1, 2025, 4,423.9 thousand tons of wheat have already been threshed in Ukraine. ha and threshed 15,474 thousand tons of early grain and leguminous crops. 39% of the areas sown with grain and leguminous crops have already been threshed.” – the message says.

In particular, 11.36 million tons of wheat were collected from an area of 3.05 million hectares, 3.57 million tons of barley (1.01 million hectares) and 492.2 thousand tons of peas (208.2 thousand hectares). In addition, 50.4 thousand were threshed. tons of other new crop grain from an area of 145,500 Ha.

Odesa Oblast remains among the leaders in terms of collection volumes — here farmers collected more than 3.09 million tons of grain from 1.07 million hectares. Kirovohrad Region (1.93 million tons from 462.9 thousand hectares) and Poltava Region (1.52 million tons from 344.7 thousand hectares) also occupy high positions.

In the Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions, millet harvesting began: from 1.2 thousand ha collected 83 tons. As of August 1, rapeseed harvesting was also completed: 1.76 million tons were threshed from an area of 781.9 thousand square meters. Ha.

At the same time, export prices for wheat in Ukraine decreased slightly due to the increase in supply. Last week, traders were able to buy the volumes needed for July export contracts, so they reduced the purchase prices, which were in some places higher than the selling prices. At the same time, intense rains in the west of the country are delaying the pace of harvesting and reducing the quality of grain, which restrained the further fall in prices.
