Ukraine has officially left another CIS agreement

Ukraine stopped participating in the Agreement on Visiting Military Cemeteries and Monuments by World War II Veterans, signed in Moscow in 1996. About this reported permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.
“Ukraine has withdrawn from the Agreement on Visiting Military Cemeteries and Military Monuments by Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and Citizens Equal to Them, signed on October 18, 1996 in Moscow, signed on behalf of the governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States.” – the message says.
We will remind that in September 2024, Ukraine also stopped participating in other agreements with the participation of the CIS countries, in particular, regarding cooperation in the technical renewal of railway rolling stock and the procedure for investigating accidents at work that happened to workers outside their state.
Also, Ukraine withdrew from the Decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS “On Amendments to the Normative Legal Acts of the Commonwealth of Independent States Regulating the Procedure for Financing CIS Bodies”, signed on May 30, 2012 in the city of Ashgabad.
