“Ukraine initiated an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to another escalation of terror by Russia on July 31, which led to the death of people and destruction in Kyiv. An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council under the agenda item “Maintaining peace and security of Ukraine” will be held tomorrow, August 1. – said Sybiga.

The minister emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin rejects peace efforts and seeks to prolong the war against Ukraine.

“But the world has enough power to stop it – thanks to the united pressure and principled position in favor of a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire. Tomorrow evening’s meeting of the UN Security Council will be a platform to clearly state such strong positions.”, – emphasized Sybiga.

We will remind you that on July 31, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with rockets and “shaheds”. In Kyiv, 27 people, including three children, died as a result of shelling. 155 people were injured, including 16 children.
