Ukraine is preparing to update the reservation system for business: what will change

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, said that at the moment, more than 900,000 Ukrainians have received reservations from mobilization, and the government is considering the possibility of increasing the number of such reserved persons. That’s what he’s about stated during the Yalta European Strategy (YES).

Shmyhal emphasized that today more than 900,000 people working in business have received armor from mobilization, and this is an important indicator.

“We understand that we can assume an even greater number of people booked in the business, but under the condition that the “math” of mobilization is completely followed”, – emphasized Shmyhal

The Prime Minister recalled the need to maintain coordination between the government, military and business to achieve this balance. He also announced imminent changes to the booking process for businesses, stressing the principle of “fight or work” which remains fundamental to the country at war.

“In a country at war there is no other way than when part of the population fights and pays for our future victory with their lives, the other part of the population must work, fill the budget, produce weapons, create everything to support those who are on the front lines today “, Shmyhal said, stressing that mobilization remains one of the key priorities for the state.

Updating the reservation system

We will remind you that on June 7, the government of Ukraine adopted a resolution on digitalization of the reservation process, which will help to significantly reduce corruption risks and minimize the impact of the human factor. And already on July 17, a new electronic reservation service for conscripts was launched on the Diya portal, intended for managers of critical enterprises and those that provide for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Economy is also working on the implementation of a new criterion for economic booking, which is planned to be launched in October-November this year. It is expected that this process will be tied to the level of wages, which will allow more effective protection of key personnel in the conditions of war.
