40 young Ukrainians will receive UAH 6 million to start a business

As part of the “Own business” grant program, 40 young Ukrainians under the age of 25 will receive financing to start a business, the total amount of which is 6 million hryvnias. About this reported Tetyana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Among the winners of the program, 40% are young people aged 18 to 20 years. They plan to start businesses in various fields, including the production of clothing and accessories, cheese, confectionery, semi-finished products, trade in furniture and home goods, as well as opening coffee shops, beauty salons, photo studios, fitness centers, studios, advertising agencies and workshops. of computer equipment repair.
The “Own Business” program enables young Ukrainians aged 18 to 25 to receive a micro-grant of up to 150,000 hryvnias to create their own business. After the application is approved, it is necessary to register as an individual entrepreneur (FOP). Grant recipients are not required to create jobs.
The amount of the grant is returned within three years in the form of taxes and fees paid by the entrepreneur in the course of activity. After fulfilling these conditions, the participants can again apply for a grant under the “Own business” program under general conditions, receiving up to 250 thousand hryvnias with the obligation to create at least two jobs.
Grant funds can be used to purchase equipment, purchase raw materials and equipment, lease equipment or rent premises. You can apply for participation in the program through the “Action” portal by attaching a business plan. The program is administered by the State Employment Service.
