Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire in the sky and at sea, but not on land: OP

Ukraine agrees to a ceasefire in the sky and at sea, but there is no question of a truce on land. A truce on land will allow Russia to regain strength and subsequently resume hostilities, stated adviser to the head of the Office of the President Serhiy Leshchenko on the air of the telethon.

“He (Trump) says: is there a cease-fire plan? We answer that we have a cease-fire plan. We propose to cease fire from the sky. We are talking about drones, missiles, ballistics. We also propose a cease-fire at sea. We undertake not to attack. This, by the way, is paradoxical. After all, we have the initiative in the Black Sea. We also propose not to attack the energy sector.” – noted Leshchenko.

In his opinion, the US president constantly puts forward initiatives in order to bring his opponents to the result he wants in the negotiation process.

“But Ukraine also has something to answer for. You want a truce – we are ready. However, not on land, where Putin can take a truce for several months: treat the wounded, recruit infantry in North Korea – and renew this war.”, the advisor emphasized.

He also added that 70% of the defeats of the Armed Forces take place with the help of drones.

“Here, US aid is critical, but not enough to stop hostilities on the terms imposed on Ukraine.” – concluded Leshchenko.
