Ukraine plans to introduce a new format of summonses that will contain a QR code

In the near future, Ukraine plans to introduce a new format of summons that will contain a QR code. This innovation aims to facilitate the process of document verification, increase their security and simplify the mobilization procedure. By in words Deputy Defense Minister for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko, this decision is currently being tested, and full implementation is planned in the near future.

The main feature of the new summonses is the presence of a QR code, which makes it possible to quickly and conveniently check the validity of the document through the “Rezerv+” mobile application. Thanks to this, users can scan the code using a special scanner in the application and get important information, including:

  • whether the subpoena is valid;
  • date and number of document issuance;
  • the territorial procurement center (TCC), which issued the summons;
  • the name of the responsible person who signed the document;
  • assignment of a summons (clarification of data, referral to the military medical commission (MMC) or combat summons);
  • other details that may be important to recruits.

It is also worth noting that the new format of subpoenas is implemented on the basis of Resolution No. 560, which was adopted on May 16. According to this document, there are three main types of subpoenas:

  1. Summons for clarification of personal data: intended for updating information about personal data and military registration documents through the “Oberig” register.
  2. Summons for passing a medical commission: used to determine fitness for military service based on medical indicators.
  3. Combat summons (summons for dispatch): issued to persons who have passed the medical examination and are found fit for service, for their mobilization assignment and dispatch to military units.
