Ukraine presented the capabilities of its defense industry at a symposium in France

Ukraine presented the potential of its defense-industrial complex at the symposium “Rearmament Europe – Readiness 2030” held in Paris. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy Boyev took part in the event.

The symposium was organized on the initiative of the Minister of the Armed Forces of France, Sebastian Lecorne. 27 national armaments directors of the EU countries, as well as representatives of Ukraine, Great Britain, Norway, Albania, North Macedonia, the European Union and NATO took part in the event.

Each country presented up to three projects in the field of defense industry, which will be considered for financing within the framework of the EU initiative SAFE (Security Action for Europe), the budget of which is 150 billion euros. Ukraine proposed a number of projects, in particular in the field of the production of drones and ammunition, as well as the development of missile weapons and means of electronic warfare.

“Ukraine has increased the volume of defense production from 1 billion dollars to 35 billion dollars in 3 years. The Ukrainian defense industry has even greater potential, but it needs additional funding. The weapons produced by Ukraine can become the weapons of Europe in the long term.”, – noted Serhiy Boyev.

He also called on European partners to create joint industrial projects, emphasizing the role of Ukraine as an integral part of the European security architecture. According to him, large-scale joint initiatives are capable of ensuring long-term stability and strength on the continent.
