The Armed Forces of Ukraine received a French drone to hit targets at a distance of up to 25 km
Ukrainian military received the new MV-25 OSKAR drone for hitting targets at a distance of up to 25 km, created by the French company KNDS France in cooperation with DELAIR and EOS Technologie. This drone belongs to the MATARIS series, which includes several models with different characteristics of range and functional purpose.
MV-25 OSKAR has already received positive feedback from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The project of development and integration of the drone lasted only two years, and the first combat tests were conducted in June 2024. The drone is designed to defeat manpower and light armored vehicles. It is equipped with a high-explosive warhead weighing 550 grams, capable of covering distances of up to 25 kilometers and staying in the air for up to 45 minutes.
MV-25 OSKAR is distinguished by ease of deployment, does not require special infrastructure for launch, has reduced radar visibility and operates through a secure communication channel, which allows it to navigate even without access to satellite navigation.
We will remind, on June 9 it became known that the French car manufacturer Renault is negotiating with the French Ministry of Defense regarding the potential launch of the production of drones in Ukraine. No final decision has yet been made — Renault is waiting for further details after the negotiations are over.
