Ukraine refuses intermediaries to communicate with Donald Trump’s team

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that they do not need mediators to communicate with the team of future US President Donald Trump regarding the end of the war. About this reported the spokesman of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tyhiy.

This is how the department reacted to the proposal of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijártó, who expressed Budapest’s readiness to “help” in establishing contacts with Trump.

“Ukraine does not need intermediaries in communication with President-elect Trump’s team. We have established contact between the president-elect and President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and between teams at the level of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the head of the President’s Office. Therefore, all these issues are resolved in a direct American dialogue and there is simply no need to turn to intermediaries for this”, – noted Tychy.

Earlier, during his visit to the United States, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, held a number of meetings with American politicians and representatives of Donald Trump’s team. At the same time, the discussions did not concern the topic of peace or ending the war in Ukraine.
