Ukraine will produce Japanese pickup trucks

In Ukraine, they are preparing to launch the production of Japanese pickups using the large-node assembly (SKD) technology. This is happening within the framework of a joint project of Ukrainian manufacturers and a Japanese engineering company, reported Ministry of Economy.
“Together with Ukrainian partners, the Japanese company plans to start the production of pickups using the technology of large-node assembly, and in the future they plan to switch to small-node production (CKD)”, – said Yuliya Svyridenko, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy.
According to her, investors currently have access to war risk insurance thanks to the US International Development Finance Agency (DFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency MIGA, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, foreign export credit agencies and the Ukrainian Export Credit Agency (ECA).
We will remind that earlier the company “Kronospan Rivne”, which is part of the Austrian international corporation “Kronospan”, launched a new production line for the production of oriented strand boards. The volume of investments in new facilities amounted to 200 million euros.
