Ukraine will receive two more Patriot systems

Already this summer, Ukraine should receive the Patriot air defense system, which was previously based in Israel. Another installation will be provided by Germany or Greece. About this informs The New York Times.
According to information, it is an older model of the Patriot system that is undergoing major repairs before being sent to Ukraine. Eight Patriot systems are currently in service with the Ukrainian army, two of which are under maintenance. After receiving an installation from Israel and another from Germany or Greece, the total number of such systems in Ukraine will be ten.
“President Trump has made it clear: he wants the war in Ukraine to end and the killings to stop,” – said the spokesman of the National Security Council of the White House, James Hewitt
European countries have at their disposal about 40 Patriot air defense systems, of which about 15 are in service with Germany and Greece.
We will remind that in April of this year, Volodymyr Zelenskyi offered the United States to purchase Patriot systems, but Kyiv has not yet received an official response from Washington.
“The most important issue today is air defense. The supply of air defense systems to Ukraine, the supply of missiles for air defense. Our agreements with our partners. Contracts. Our readiness to produce air defense in Ukraine and negotiations regarding licenses. There were reports from the military and government officials.” – explained Zelensky.
