The Kerch bridge, illegally built by Russia, has not yet been destroyed due to the priority of targets for the Armed Forces and the measures taken by the enemy to protect it. This was announced by the spokesman of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, captain 3rd rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, on the air of the telethon.
According to him, units of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already repeatedly struck objects in the east of the Sea of Azov, including the Krasnodar region, Yeisk and the port of Kavkaz. This indicates that the Kerch bridge is in the zone of damage of Ukrainian weapons systems.
“If we take the map, it is clear that the bridge is in the zone of damage of our weapons systems. And it’s no secret that all these systems worked even further than this illegal annex is locatedPletenchuk noted.
He also emphasized that from a technical point of view, the Ukrainian military has the opportunity to attack the bridge. However, it is important to take into account the priority of other objectives and the opposition from the enemy, which affects the final decision.
Earlier, Russian law enforcement officers announced a wanted list of Georgian citizen Oleksandr Inasaridze and Ukrainian Serhiy Andriichenko, accusing them of involvement in the 2022 Kerch Bridge bombing.
In addition, new satellite images from Maxar Technologies indicate the strengthening of defensive structures around the bridge that connects Russia with occupied Crimea.
