Ukrainian delegation led by Yermak and Svyrydenko arrives in the US

On June 3, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak arrived in Washington together with the Ukrainian delegation, which is headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister – the Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko. About the purpose of Yermak’s visit told у Telegram.
“We will actively promote issues important to Ukraine. Our agenda is quite complex. We plan to talk about defense support and the situation on the battlefield, strengthening sanctions against Russia, in particular the bill of Republican Senator Lindsey] Graham. We will also discuss the agreement on the creation of the Reconstruction Investment Fund, which was signed earlier.”, he noted.
In addition, the delegation intends to discuss the issue of the return of Ukrainian children deported by Russia and ways of international support for this process, as well as countering Russian propaganda, particularly in the church context. Yermak emphasized that a number of meetings are planned with representatives of both American parties that support Ukraine, as well as with members of US President Donald Trump’s team.
“We will talk about the results of the meetings in Istanbul, as well as how Russia is delaying the ceasefire and negotiations for the sake of war.” – he emphasized.
We will remind, on June 2, the second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia took place in Istanbul. According to the Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov, the parties agreed on the exchange of prisoners of war according to the “all for all” formula for two categories: seriously wounded or seriously ill and young soldiers. Ukraine also offered to hold another meeting between June 20 and 30.
