Ukrainians in the Czech Republic are invited to the Embroidery Festival

Although the celebration of Vyshyvanka Day was started only a few years ago, the solemn procession in colorful shirts has already become a traditional May phenomenon for Ukrainian cities. Ukrainians abroad also picked up this tradition. On May 19, the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, even plans to hold a thematic festival – Vyshyvanka Fest.

Organizers of the event – Society of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic “BEREGHYNYA”. The announcement of the event states that visitors can expect a concert program and a fair where craft products made by craftsmen will be sold. In addition, the festival plans to watch the film “Heritage of the Nation” and taste traditional dishes.

This year, not only Ukrainians were invited to the festival, but also representatives of other national minorities in the Czech Republic. That is why not only dishes of Ukrainian cuisine will be offered for tasting.

Those who wish can safely attend the event with the whole family, because the Vyshyvanka Fest includes a program for children – aqua painting, games.

The festival starts at 15:00. The event will take place at Gauč na Výstavišti (Výstaviště 415, 170 00 Praha 7-Bubeneč). Everyone is free to attend, no prior registration is required.
