NEC “Ukrenergo” calls on businesses to connect to the general energy system backup generating units that were purchased for their own needs. About this informs the press service of the company.
“Today, only enterprises – members of the Federation of Employers – have more than 150 such generation facilities (if we count the capacity of 1 MW and more)”. – the message says.
At the same time, due to the absence of long-term power outages, these installations remain unused. T. in. at. Chairman of the board of “Ukrenergo” Oleksiy Brecht proposes to connect these installations to the network. In this case, enterprises will be able to earn profit from the use of their backup generators, and the country’s energy system will be able to generate additional capacity.
“Fortunately, we manage to go through the cold period without long-term shutdowns. And the gas turbine and gas piston plants brought in by business and industry just stand still. At the same time, the owners do not receive a profit, and the energy system of Ukraine does not use a sufficiently significant capacity of this generation.” – said Brecht.
He emphasized that many enterprises simply do not know how to become participants in the electricity market and work effectively in it. “Ukrenergo” promised to provide business consultations on integration into the energy market.
